Kwadwo Asamoah Out Of AFCON 2015

Italian Seria A Champions Juventus have confirmed that dynamic midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah had a successful surgery in Barcelona on Tuesday, to fix a torn cartilage in his left knee.
The 25-year-old, according to an official statement from the reigning Italian Champions, is expected to return to competitive action after four months.
The Black Stars player will miss the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea starting from January 18 to February 7, 2015
He has been on the sidelines over the past few weeks and missed Ghana’s last two AFCON 2015 qualifying games against Uganda in Morocco and Togo in Tamale respectively.
This will be a big blow for Black Stars new Coach Avram Grant who was likely to invite the talented midfielder in his final 23 man squad for the 30th edition of the African Cup of Nations.
Meanwhile, Harrison Afful has sent a speedy recovery message to his team mate after the surgery.
“Injuries are part of the games, and we wish him all the best he is a good player and we are hoping he will be back soon to help the team.”
