Asante Kotoko striker Dauda Mohammed scored the season’s 100th goal in the Ghana Premier League clash against Liberty Professionals in Kumasi on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over the visitors, which is also the team’s first outing after the dismissal of coach David Duncan.
Latif Blessing gave Liberty a dream start with a third minute opener but teammate Maxwell Mensah conceded an own goal to level in favour of Kotoko.
Mohammed, who was visibly enterprising in the clash, gave the hosts the lead, altering the scoreline to 2-1.
He later earned a penalty when he was tripled in the box, which Porcupines captain Amos Frimpong converted with aplomb to seal the Kumasi-based side’s victory at 3-1.
Kotoko will travel to Dawu to face Dreams FC in matchday eight.
