David Duncan is set to join Kumasi Asante Kotoko as the head coach, following series of poor results that have pushed the league champions to 10 position on the league log.
Allsports.com.gh understands that talks between the Ghana champions and the former Accra Hearts of Oak coach began just after the team lost 0-1 last week Saturday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to their archrivals, Hearts of Oak.
The reports indicate that the management have initiated the negotiations for the services of David Duncan by mandating the Greater Accra Kumasi Asante Kotoko Circles Chairman to play the middleman role.
Kotoko fans were furious and called for the sack of Didi Dramani, whose contract runs out in October 2015, stating that he is not the type of coach that can champion the course of the Porcupine Warriors to do well in Africa, after they lost at home to Accra Hearts of Oak.
The league champions in their quest to bounce back from Hearts’ loss were handed another painful defeat by their regional rivals, Ashanti Gold fc at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, Obuasi, after they had taken an early lead in the game.
The league leaders Ashgold have widened the points gap between them and Kotoko by 10 points making it difficult for the champions to win the Premier League four times on the trot.
It is also on record that any time Kotoko lose to Hearts in Kumasi they fail to win the Ghana Premier league title.
