Kotoko robbed by armed men ahead of Hearts clash

Players and management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko were the victims of an armed robbery attack on Sunday morning at the Tadoma Hotel in Taifa ahead of their mega clash against Accra Hearts of Oak.

A source told Allsports.com.gh the players had been left traumatized by the incident which also left forward Dauda Mohammed bruised.

The team was woken up early in the morning by the group wielding machetes and knives after the security at the hotel had been overpowered.

Players were tied up and put in their rooms while the robbers went on their spree.

Operations Manager of the club,  George Kennedy and Coach David Duncan are reported to have been robbed of various sums of money .

The source further revealed to Allsports.com.gh the Police had been invited to provide security to the team.
