Kotoko ready for Lions in Sierra Leone despite Ebola – Gyamfi

The Porcupine Warriors are unperturbed being paired with a Sierra Leonean side in the face of Ebola outbreak in the west African nation

Asante Kotoko winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi has said the Porcupine Warriors are battle ready for Eastend Lions, despite the dreaded case of Ebola in Sierra Leone.

The two sides are scheduled to face off on February 14, 2015 in the Caf Champions League.

“Everyone is scared of that Ebola disease but whether Ebola or no Ebola we are ready to face them (Eastend Lions),” the speedster told allsports.com.gh

“I believe that the management will petition Caf to shift the game to a neutral ground where there is no Ebola, because nobody wish to play football in an Ebola country but whether Ebola or no Ebola we are ready for them,” Gyamfi stated.

The former Maritzburg United winger was optimistic that Kotoko will go far in the continent’s flagship inter-club competition.

The Ghanaians will host their west African counterparts after the away game in the preliminary stages of the tournament.
