Former Asante Kotoko coach Isaac Opeele Boateng claims David Duncan has no reasons not to win the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League due to the quality players at his disposal.
The Porcupine Warriors failed to defend the title won on three consecutive seasons last term.
“David Duncan has no excuse to fail at Kotoko. I had the information that a committee was formed to recruit players ahead of the season and he was the head of it,” Boateng toldAsempa FM.
“It included management members and board members but he had control over the recruitment. He had the final say on who came in or left the club so he must repay them with the trophy.
“The chief executive officer of the club also told the supporters that every position has two or three quality players. Duncan has got all the privileges to succeed at the club, so he doesn’t have any excuses,” he added.
Kotoko lost their opening game against Wafa and their second game against regional rivals Ashantigold was postponed due to the latter’s involvement in the Caf Champions League.
Kotoko will host Medeama at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
