Kumasi Asante Kotoko have transfer-listed seven players after assessing their performance in the just-ended 2014-15 season, whiles two others are on loan to Lebanon.
The seven players are defenders Smallboy Korbah and Akwasi Acheampong; midfielders Richard Mpong, Prince Baffoe, Richard Oti and Jordan Opoku. Striker, Latif Amadu completes the list.
The two others who have been loaned to Lebanese sides are Michael Akuffu and Ahmed Toure.
Communications Manager, Kwaku Ahenkorah this disclosed this to Asantekootokosc.com on Wednesday. He said this is the first batch of the players who are on their way out of the club adding that, Kotoko’s transfer and recruitment exercise has been activated.
“The season has ended and it is normal practice to review how things went with the objective of improving or making things better next season” said the club spokesman.
The Porcupine Warriors went trophy less in the just ended season, failing to defend both the FA Cup and the league they won last season and also lost out to Hearts of Oak and Ashgold in the President’s Cup and the Otumfuo Cup, respectively.
