Kotoko management threaten to quit should David Duncan be sacked

The Opoku Nti led management say they will resign from Asante Kotoko if David Duncan is sacked as the coach of the club.

A member of the Asante Kotoko Africa Cup Committee, Dr. Kweku Frimpong, popularly known as champion, has come out publicly to state that he has brought a foreign trainer by name Tommy Muller Nielson to work as the technical director of the dethroned champions and he would even take care of his salaries.

However, the management committee are sensing the danger that it might be the end of David Duncan who was hired in March to replace Mas-ud Didi Dramani and have therefore sent a warning signal to the board that a decision of that sort would call for their resignation.

“We are in full support of David Duncan, so we will resign when a decision is taken to relieve him of his position as the coach of Kotoko,” he told Angel FM.

Asante Kotoko have failed to win any trophy this season, losing out on the league, the FA Cup, the Top-4,the President’s Cup and the Otumfuo Cup.

In addition to this, there are other reports circulating that Opoku Nti the General manager of the Porcupine warriors would be replaced.
