Asante Kotoko Ivorian striker, Ahmed Toure believes that his team is in what he termed as ‘fantastic shape’ ahead of their league opener against Aduana Stars next Sunday.
The porcupine warriors will travel to Dormaa to engage Aduana Stars in the first week fixture of the 2014/2015 First capital plus league.
But Toure, who rejoined the Kumasi base club after a few years of absence, said they are more than ready to pick all three points.
“We are in fantastic shape and some of us can’t wait for the league to start. Thankfully all the wait will come to an end in less than ten days time. I need not talk mush because this season w the players have decided to do the talking on the pitch and make see that our supported get the bragging rights against as many teams as possible”, Toure said in an interview with Sportscrusader.com.
Toure who is one of the top scorers for Kotoko in the many off-season matches they have played, promised to replicate his good form into the league.
“I was brought here to score goals and that is what I intend to do once the season gets underway. Thankfully I have scored well over ten goals in the friendly matches we have played during the off-season and I believe that I won’t perform any less when we play in the season.”
