Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Hassacas midfielder, Theophilus Nyame on a three year deal.
Nyame was one of the best players for the Sekondai based club during last season’s league as he helped Hassacas to finish the season at the 7th position.
After the season, Medeama and Aduana Stars expressed their interest in the 25 year old middleman but the two clubs failed to meet Nyame’s asking price and due to that Kotoko who have been very active in the transfer market managed to lure the bulky midfielder to their camp as Nyame signed a three year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.
“We have signed Theophilus Nyame on a three year deal, he even started training with the team last Monday, we hope his inclusion will positively help the club because next season our target is to win the league and the FA Cup, he is a good player we saw how he helped Hassacas in the league and we are optimistic he will replicate the same performance at Kotoko,” the source revealed.
The capture of Theophilus Nyame will be Kotoko’s fifth signing after the arrival of Burkinabe Halipha Sedogo, Samuel Kyere, Michael Yeboah and Ernest Sowah.
