Zambia captain Rainford Kalaba says he will ensure Chipolopolo bounce back stronger from their 2015 AFCON flop.
Kalaba had a forgettable debut as Zambia captain at the Africa Cup in Equatorial Guinea after the team finished bottom of Group B to make a preliminary stage exit.
Zambia exited the tournament without a win with two points from three Group B games.
“I will ensure that morale in this team remains high so that we can come back for the next tournament and do even better,” Kalaba said.
“I was given this opportunity to carry my team forward but it is unfortunate we are out.”
Meanwhile, Zambia’s next international competitive engagement will come in the 2015 COSAFA Cup scheduled for May in South Africa.
