Abeiku Ainooson has advised his teammate at the Local Black Stars Joel Fameyeh to join a smaller club which is devoid of much pressure when the transfer window of the First Capital Plus Premier League opens to help him in his development.
Joel Fameyeh, who plays for 2 tier side, Asokwa Deportivo was the toasts of the fans at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi on Sunday, as he snatched a brace to aid the Local Black Stars overturn a one goal deficit to win by 2-1 in the first leg of the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Ivory Coast.
Fameyeh had a fantastic performance in the just ended GN National Division One League, scoring 28 goals for his side and has attracted a lot of clubs for his service, including Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, the two biggest clubs in Ghana.
However, Abeiku Ainooson has advised him to choose a team where there isn’t much pressure from the fans to help him in his development, because such sides don’t have patience for their players.
“Joel Fameyeh is a young talented player I admire. That is why I chose him as a roommate, so that I can offer him the necessary advise.
“I want him to be guided by God so that he would know where to go. I would want him to move to a smaller club where there is no pressure to help him in his development as a player. People like us are already grounded to face even, the worst,” he told Metro FM.
