Jeffrey Schlupp has extended his contract with Leicester City by signing a new contract to keep him at King Power Stadium until June 2019.

The 22-year-old Ghana international enjoyed an outstanding debut season in the Barclays Premier League, which culminated in a double triumph at the Club’s end of season awards, where he won the Players’ Player and Young Player of the Year titles.
The versatile German-born Schlupp, who can also play in midfield and up front, won his first cap for Ghana against Gabon back in 2013 before earning a call-up to the country’s provisional squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
He went on to claim a second cap for the Black Stars in a friendly against the Netherlands but missed out on selection in the 23-man squad for the finals.
Schlupp was also controversially omitted from Avram Grant’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Ghana squad due to injury. His first international goal arriving earlier this month in a 7-1 victory over Mauritius.
With four goals in 35 appearances from City’s left side, the Academy graduate was a key member of the squad last term and instrumental in helping to steer Nigel Pearson’s men towards survival.
