Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Herbert Addo says he is not surprised with striker Gilbert Fiamenyo’s performance so far.
The bulky striker has been the savior of the Phobians in the three week old league banging in five goals in the process, an action that has seen the Phobians claw four points out of a possible nine.
Accidentally, Fiamenyo is the only Hearts of Oak player this season to have scored any goal in all three matches, and this according to his coach is not a surprise to them.
“I am not surprised at all, in fact none of us at the technical team is surprised he is scoring goals because we know what we have instilled in him and the results are evident.
“He is one of the few old players I decided to work on to bring the best out of, and he availed himself to instructions; that has brought him this performance,” the coach noted.
Coach Addo added that “he (Fiamenyo) is one player who is ready to learn and that is a very good attitude any coach wants to see in a player.”
He mentioned that he expects more goals from Fiamenyo whom he stressed has been an inspiration to his colleagues since the season commenced.
“He is just getting started and it is our belief that no form of injuries will affect him or any of the players in the team so that we can reach our goals this season.”
Accra Hearts of Oak will be seeking to return to winning ways on Saturday January 31, 2015, as they play as guests to Bechem United at the Bechem Park in the 4th week encounter of the 2014/2015 First Capital Plus League.
