West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan admits regret over transfer of Andre Ayew.
Ayew, 25, left Marseille for Swansea City over the summer despite undergoing talks with the West Ham hierarchy about a move to London.
West Ham fans have had to look on in frustration as he has scored three goals in his first four games, including the header that helped put Manchester United to the sword.
Now one chairman has admitted his displeasure at not getting hold of Ayew this summer. David Sullivan, co-chairman at West Ham United, is quoted by London24 as stating:
“I regret not signing Ayew you because I really fancied him.”
Ayew was linked with a plethora of other clubs and Swansea have been proven right in their decision to bring him in, as Ayew was named the Premier League Player of the Month this week.
