Ashanti Gold striker Bernard Morrison says he hopes to score more goals in the FCP Premier League for his club.
Morrison was on target when the ‘Miners’ secured a 2-0 triumph over Great Olympics on Sunday in Obuasi, and the former Heart Of Lions goal poacher tells footy-ghana.com that, he hopes to get an injury free season in order to score more goals for his team.
“When I played for the first time in the Premier League for Heart Of Lions, I scored nine goals, but when I joined Ashanti Gold I scored three goals after which I was hit with an injury, so I was out for some time. I pray thatnow that I have started scoring, I will be able to score more goals for the club.’’
Morrison also told footy-ghana.com that determination saw Ashanti Gold claim all three points, noting that Great Olympics gave his side a tough game.
“Every opponent in the league plays good game, so on Sunday you could see that the game was very tough. The determination shown by all the players handed us the victory over Olympics.’’
