Having already overturned a 3-1 deficit against Fc Porto few weeks ago in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League. The Bavarians will be looking forward to emulate that again at the Allianz Arena today, after they were crashed in the first leg of the champions league semis by the Catalans (FC Barcelona).lots of soccer fans might see this second leg as a done deal for Barcelona not forgetting one of the greatest comebacks happened in this same competition when Deportivo La Coruna in 2003/04 incredibly overturned a first leg 4-1 deficit in the return fixture by beating Ac Milan by four goals to zero at the Riazor stadium in Spain in the quarter finals then.
This is of course a complex task for Bayern, but in football miracles often happen. the Chelsea comeback against Napoli in the round of 16 in the 2011/2012 season where the blues overturned a 3-1 defeat which they successfully implemented by scoring four is another food for thought .this clearly states that in football nothing is impossible. As Jose Mourinho always say “luck can never be ruled out of the football game”
With the fact that the likes of Robben and Ribery are again going to miss this return fixture makes things difficult for Bayern but the massive crowd that is going to be at the 75,000 capacity Allianz Arena in Munich could be very pivotal to Bayern’s chances of sailing through.
