Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo says his charges are ready to take on promoted West Africa Football Academy on the opening day of the 2014/2015 Ghana Premier League season.
The Rainbow Club will kick of their league campaign with a tricky game against WAFA formerly Fetteh Feyenoord.
The Phobians returned to training on Tuesday afternoon following a week break due to the yuletide.
Hearts have failed to sparkle in the league for the past three years and are desperate to catch up with eternal rivals Kotoko having won a treble of league titles.
“Once everything has been ready we have said that we preparing in case we would be called on to begin so we are ready,” Addo, who was appointed at the end of last season, told GHANASoccernet.com.
“I am told we are taking on Feyenoord and I am sure my team is ready for the campaign.
“We just resumed camping today and we working on the final piece to the team.”
Hearts finished third last season behind Kotoko and Hearts of Lions but will be looking to improve on that with veteran Addo in-charge.
