Ghanaian forward Michael Helgebe is claiming interest from European clubs following his surge in scoring form in Lebanon.
The 29-year-old is currently the leading goalscorer in the Lebanese top flight for Tripoli SC.
Helgebe has scored 12 league goals – five more than his closest rival in the goal king race – since he arrival from Medeama SC.
The former Asante Kotoko playmaker’s impressive scoring rate has attracted interest from some European clubs.
“I have some offers on the table – mainly from Europe,” Helgbe told MTNFootball.com.
“I am studying these offers but I want to focus more on improving on my performance here.”
The former Ghana Olympic team captain had a relatively unsuccessful spell in his first stint in Europe where he played for En Avant Guingamp and KV Oostende.
He returned to the Ghana Premier League in 2010 to relaunch his career with his former club Liberty Professionals before joining Asante Kotoko and then Medeama SC.
Helegbe now seems matured enough to make a successful return to Europe.
