Following their sparkling form in the Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak have set sights on a Caf Champions League spot at the end of the current season, according to the team’s goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye.
He claims all the players of the Accra-based side have been made to understand that they should work towards finishing as champions in order to claim a ticket to compete in Africa.
“We are determined to play and make an impact in the CAF Champions League next season so we need to maintain our form to get there,” Soulama told GHANAsoccernet.com
“The playing body is ready to make that dream a reality.”
“But we can only get to the Caf Champions League competition after winning the league so we are not ready to slip after being on top of the table,” he added.
Soulama, a Burkinabe, has recently been called up to the Stallions ahead of the 2017 Afcon qualifiers.
