Hearts of Oak release three players from the club’s first team squad

Hearts of Oak technical team in collaboration with the management have sanctioned the release of three players from the club’s first team squad.

The first batch of the transfer listed players are, experienced goalkeeper Tetteh Lugard, defender Kwaku Andoh and striker Hamza Mohammed as the trio will not be part of Hearts of Oak’s next season campaign.

Lugard since joining the Phobians five seasons ago from Saint Mirren has not been impressive as he has received a lot of bashing from Hearts of Oak fans, Andoh joins the Phobians three seasons ago from Heart of Lions but he failed to break into the first team of the Accra giants.

And Hamza who only joined the Phobians last season didn’t feature for the club due to his nagging injuries and even when he was passed fit he failed to get a starting place in the team.

The Phobians last season had a woeful campaign as they finished at the 13th position on the log sheet.

Meanwhile the club’s technical team led by Kenichi Yatsuhashi has confirmed that the second batch of the transfer listed players will be released next week.
