The rivalry between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko will again be reignited in December when both clubs join two other clubs in December in the Oil City to compete for the ‘Oil Cup’.
The competition which is being organized by a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Absolute Peace International, is to help celebrate the oil find in the Western Region.
The four-club competition will come off between December 19 and 21, 2014 at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.
SC Medeama and Sekondi Hasaacas are the other two clubs that will contend with Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko for Oil Cup.
The competition will be launched on Friday, December 5, 2014 as Kotoko, Hearts, Medeama and Hasaacas have all accepted to participate.
According to reports in the media, there will be two games on December 19 as Hearts will play Medeama whereas Kotoko take on Hasaacas.
The winners will go straight into the final on December 21. To determine the third and four place teams, the losers will play before the final match.
