Hearts goalkeeper Abdoulaye reveals retirement plans

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye says he will quit football in the next five years.

The 36-year-old joined the Phobians from rivals Asante Kotoko last term after seven seasons in Kumasi.

“What will I do after football? I want to enter into business,” Abdoulaye told Goal.

“In the next five years, I will quit football and concentrate on my business. I’ve done a lot in the sport but since I’m not getting younger, I have to start planning life after football.

“I still have a life to live when I retire and I believe doing business is the best for me despite other players becoming coaches,” he added.

Abdoulaye has been capped 45 times for Burkina Faso and was adjudged the best goalkeeper in Ghana in 2008. He has won three Ghana Premier League titles.
