Hearts fans call for Justice Ivy Heward Mills’ suspension over alleged bribery scandal

Hearts of Oak serial callers have called for the suspension of Justice Ivy  Heward Mills who was cited in Anas Aremeyaw Aremayaw bribery video scandal.

Justice Heward Mills who is Hearts of Oak’s board member was caught in the video receiving bribe from a litigant to compromise a lawsuit before her and in that investigation it was revealed that Justices at the high courts and lower courts were also filmed.

The video dubbed as ‘Ghana in the Eyes of God’ also has over 180 Judicial staffs receiving bribes from litigants as the their main aim is to compromise cases.

However, the serial callers of Hearts of Oak who had the opportunity to watch the two day prmiere of the video at the International Conference Centre felt their Board member has disgraced the club and she must be suspended adding that when former club MD Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe was cited for corruption he was sacked by the club’s Board which Justice Ivy Heward Mills was part.

“We want the Board to let her step aside at least for now. we cannot afford to have her soil the club with her alleged involvement of such a disgraceful act.

“This is one woman we revere knowing she is a High Court Judge, we see her as an upright woman and appears to be very principled. We never knew this negative side of her, which has now dented the reputation of this great club. She has done Hearts of Oak a great disservice with her corrupt activities.

“It will be wrong for us to still keep this woman on the Board, not long ago the club punished by sacking our Managing Director Neil Armstrong Mortagbe when some charges of corruption were leveled against him. I don’t think this woman is special, the same punishment must be meted against her,” the serial callers told Kasapa FM.
