Newly promoted Ghana premier league club, Dreams FC played in a club friendly match against premier league giants, Hearts of Oak to commission the refurbished Dawu stadium.
Hearts ensured the commissioning of the stadium was a memorable one after inflicting a double defeat on Dreams FC who are coached by former Hearts manager, C.K. Akunnor. The two teams played in two separate matches to test the fitness level of the entire team and clubs readiness to compete in the upcoming 2015/16.
Dreams FC coach believes the defeat means little as the experience the young lads will learn from gong into the season is more valuable and worthy if the club wants to retain its status in the league beyond the 2015/16 season.
Akunnor said, “Hearts of Oak is a big team and as such makes it a good taste for us. Mistakes we committed in the first game were rectified in the second and this proves we are willing to learn as our inexperience caused us in both matches”.
Dreams next game is in the premier league against fellow newly promoted side, Ebusua Dwarfs at the refurbished Cape Coast stadium.
