Ashantigold coach Bashiru Hayford believes his side will overcome Algerian club MO Bejaia in the first leg of the Caf Champions League first round tie scheduled for February 14 at the Len Clay stadium.
The Miners coach insists that he has watched clips of his opponents, deploying tactics to surmount their bulwark defence.
“We have watched some clips of the Algerians, [both] their local games and international matches and we are still watching some,” Hayford was quoted as saying by Ghanaweb.
“What I’ve observed is that they are very tall so they depend on aerial balls which we will work on.
“Most of their goals have been with their heads so anytime they build their attacks from the flanks, we have to get tough defenders who can struggle with them,” he revealed.
“They are not skillful as we are but they’re very aggressive so we have to get players who can penetrate into their defense in order to score or get a penalty. If you have silky players you can rehearse for penalties,” he added.
Sports5050 understands Bejaia will travel to Ghana o n February 12, two days before the meeting.
The second leg will take place a fortnight later in Algeria.
