Ghana defender Edwin Gyimah has received praise from teammate and South Africa midfielder Amigo Mamela for “bringing a winning mentally” to Orlando Pirates.
Gyimah, 26, has been a standout performer in the South African PSL, helping his side to return to winning ways after a poor start to the season.
They have now moved from 12th position to 6th on the log after five games.
“Gyimah has brought a winning mentality into the team,” Memela was quoted as saying bySowetanlive.
“He’s a fighter. He’ll push, even when the team is down, and that lifts us,” he added.
Gyimah has been named in Ghana’s 23-man squad that will play Mozambique in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next weekend.
