Gt. Olympics end Aduana’s winning streak at Dormaa

Accra Gt. Olympics settled for a 1-1 draw on Sunday against Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park, Dormaa on match day 27 of the First Capital Plus Premier League.

Both goals were scored in the second half of the game after the first half failed to produce a goal.

Isaac Nyarko broke the deadlock of the game to give Olympics the lead, but the home team who saw defeat smiling at them, fought gallantly to bring the game level through a penalty kick, after a hand ball incident.  Moro Sulley converted from the resultant penalty kick.

Aduana Stars following this draw at home are trailing the league leaders Ashgold by 3 points and have another difficult encounter against relegation threatened Heart of Lions at Kpando on match day 28.

Olympics will host WAFA at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Sunday in their quest to survive in the Ghana Premier League.

Aduana Stars prior to this game were the best home performers in the ongoing league, having dropped only two points which came against Liberty Professionals, after 7 wins on the trot at home. They continued their impressive run at Dormaa, following the draw against Liberty, by winning 5 straight matches, but relegation threatened Gt. olympics, who knew what was at stake matched them boot for boot and left the Brong Ahafo region with a point.
