New Ghana coach Avram Grant says players must meet his three laid down criteria in order to be part of the Black Stars team.
The former Chelsea boss was unveiled as the substantive replacement for Kwesi Appiah at a ceremony held at the Ghana FA headquarters in Accra on Thursday.
Grant will be coach of Ghana for the next 27 months during which period he is expected to restore the Black Stars as a real formidable side once more again.
His task will be heavily bent on his selection policy for the team.
And the 59-year-old says potential candidates for selection into the Black Stars under his watch must be of high quality with strong mentality and ready to sacrifice for the success of the team.
“First is quality, they need to be good players,” Grant said at his unveiling.
“Second is the mentality, they need to have a good mentality because in football there could be good days and bad days.
“And thirdly is to sacrifice for the team.
“Everyone who is prepared to follow these criteria is welcome to the team.”
