Ashanti Gold maintained their unbeaten run at the Essipong Stadium as they held Hasaacas to a 1-1 draw in the Ghana Premier League On Sunday.
The host were disappointed as they were seeking to recover from their 5-0 defeat to Wafa last weekend.
Eric Bekoe scored a penalty kick in the 55th to give the home side the lead. It was a perfect penalty kick as he sent Ashgold’s goalkeeper Robert Dabuo the wrong side.
Hasaacas dominated play and defended gallantly until Kadri Mohammed jumped to head home a corner kick from Fuseini Nuhu with two minutes left on the clock.
This prompted some of the fans to personally attack coach Yusif Basigi with harsh words.
Sekondi Hasaacas were left in disquiet as they could only pick one point and in the end, it was Hasaacas fans who left the Sekondi stadium dejected.
