Ebusua Dwarfs recorded their first win of the season beating Inter Allies 3-1 on match day 6 of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday at the Robert Mensah Stadium.
This was Inter Allies second consecutive defeat after falling 2-3 against Hearts of Oak couple of weeks ago at the Tema Sports Stadium.
Ebusua Dwarfs began the game brightly, and dominated the early parts of the game, which paid off after five minutes with Nicholas Gyan scoring an opportunistic opener for the Mysterious Men.
The home side pushed even further after the opener and they took advantage again through Samuel Quayson brilliant free-kick to give the host a 2-goal lead in the 21st minute.
Five minutes later,Gockel Ahortor scored a marvelous free-kick to halved the deficit for the visitors on 26 minutes – his second successive goal from a direct free-kick in two league games.
The first half was full of thrilling moments, with three goals in the space of 26 minutes, and even the visitors started pushing for an equalizer, but Dwards looked solid and well composed and saw off the first half with a goal advantage.
In the second half, Inter Allies hope for a draw was completed shuttered by substitute, Bright Lukman, who scored to make it 3-1 for Dwarfs when he took advantage of Abass mis-timed kick, and lobbed the ball beyond the reach of helpless Kwame Baah in the 53rd minuted — regaining their 2-0 lead.
