Ghana Premier League debutants, Dreams FCrelinquished a 2-0 lead to draw two-all against Medeama SC at the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday.

The Kweiman-based club took a two goal lead courtesy of Lawson Berkui and Aaron Amoah within 25 minutes into the game, but goals from Akwasi Donsu and Bismarck Oppong salvage a point for Evans Adotey’s men in a pulsating encounter.

Having gone three matches without a win, Charles Kwabena Akunnor’s men began the game on the front foot to end their poor performance of late, and deservedly took the lead after 21 minutes through Lawson Berkui.

They doubled their advantage immediately within the same minute after restart courtesy of Aaron Amoah, giving the Mauve and Yellows a mountain to climb.

Medeama regrouped and pounced on Dreams, but Eric Kwakwa and Abass Mohammed fluffed the opportunities that came their way. With the Mauve and Yellows dictating the tempo of play. CK Akunnor threw more bodies behind the ball and it worked as they held on before recess.

Medeama flew out of their blocks in the second half and deservedly reduced the deficit through Akwasi Donsu eleven minutes into the second half.

The game was even there on with the CAF Confederation Cup participants slightly on top. Lawson Berkui could have scored his second when a dunking from his Ben Nash found him about a yard away from his markers, but he skied his effort.

At the other end of the pitch, Bismarck Oppong silenced the home side with a perfect equaliser to cap of an entertaining game with nine minutes to play.

Neither side could find the back of the net again in the encounter and Dreams FC drop to seventh with two matches to end the first round to the season.
