GPL Match Report: B. Chelsea 2-0 Kotoko – Chelsea pile more pressure on Kotoko

By Prince Dulzy

Everything was golden for Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday as they piled more pressure on former league champions Asante Kotoko in matchday four in the Ghana Premier League.

Asante Kotoko troubles continued as they feel to a 2-0 defeat in the hands of the Blues. Sadick Adams scored a brace to make sure Berekum Chelsea extend their impressive unbeaten home run.

This win means that Berekum Chelsea has now 40 unbeaten home run, which is the best home record by any side in the league. The last time they lost at home was against Amidaus Professionals in 2012.

The 2010-11 champions went into the game with the intention of winning and that paid off when Sadick Adams scored the opener in the 20 minute and doubled the score line 4 minutes later.

In the second half, Kotoko fought gallantly, but the host managed to hold on to their lead and secured all the three points.

David Duncan is still without a win in the league after match day 4, having lost 2 and drawn 2. They face Hasaacas next weekend in matchday five, and even a draw will not be enough for the Porcupines.

Berekum Chelsea will also meet Medeama next weekend.
