GPL Match Report: All Stars 1-0 New Edubiase – Richard Arthur decides match for Wa

Wa All Stars were able to secure a 1-0 win against New Edubiase in the Ghana Premier League matchday five at the Wa Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The home side dominated most part of the game, and played a total attacking football, forcing the visitors to play ten players behind the ball and hit on counter attack when the opportunity arises.

The host were able to create chances but failed to produce a goal, and most especially New Edubiase goalkeeper Ben Mensah denied them couple of times.

Edubiase had their moment in the game but they failed to punish the jittery defense of the home side led by Hafiz Ahmed.

The first half ended goalless, but after recession, the home side with the intention of winning the game mounted intense pressure on New Edubiase but it took a resolute defense of the visitors to stop all the attacking plots of the home side.

Notwithstanding, Wa All Stars were able to find a goal late in the game when Richard “Balotelli” Arthur sneaked past Edubiase defense to score the decisive goal at the Wa Park.

While this defeat is New Edubiase’s third, Wa All Stars remain unbeaten in the campaign and are still at the second position.
