After three straights defeats, Aduana Stars pipped Wafa by a goal to nil at Agyeman Badu Park on Sunday to pick their first three points in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
Pressure was on the home side to deliver the three points for their worried fans, and they did everything they could as they struck the only goal of the game through experienced Godfred Saka’s spot kick.
Wafa who had come into the game with an astonishing form following their 5-0 hammering of Hasaacas last weekend, were looking for their first away goal, but again failed to score.
The win sees Aduana Stars lift themselves from the botton of the table, moving above Asante Kotoko who slipped to a 2-0 loss at Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
Aduana Stars will play away from home to Ashanti Gold in matchday five next weekend, while Wafa welcome Liberty Professionl to Sogakope.
