Hearts of Oak, however, lost points for the third game running following a 1-1 draw with Wafa at the Accra Sports Stadium. Romeo Agban and Nicholas Gyan handed Ebusua Dwarfs a second win of the season with a 2-1 defeat of Techiman City at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Stadium. Ebenezer Agyepong netted the away side’s consolation.
Anthony Yerful notched the winner in Ashanti Gold’s 2-1 triumph over New Edubiase at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium. Abdul Wahab Annan and Francis Adjei had earlier cancelled out each other in the Adansiman derby.
Yahaya Mohammed was the hero of the day as his hat-trick propelled Aduana Stars to a 4-0 victory over Sekondi Hasaacas at Dormaa. Bright Adjei fetched the other goal from the spot.
And at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, Latif Blessing scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season in Liberty Professionals’ 3-1 win over Berekum Chelsea. Bernard Arthur found Liberty’s other strike while Asiwome Fumador scored the Blues’ consolation.
