GPL Match day 7 Preview: New boys to shock league giants

Dreams FC will hope to continue their impressive form from matchday six to secure another win as they face the defending champions Ashanti Gold at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko will be on a revival mission in week seven of the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians will hope to put last weekend’s reversal to Wa All Stars behind when they take on Techiman City at the Nana Ameyaw Park on Sunday.

Arch-rival Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, are targeting their second win of the season, as they welcome Liberty Professionals to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The Porcupine Warriors fell to Aduana Stars last weekend.

Berekum Chelsea will hope to make amends for Sunday’s defeat to Hasaacas with victory over Aduana Stars at the Golden City Park.

Wa All Stars could make it three wins in a row when they face off against Ebusua Dwarfs in a home encounter.

At the Sogakope Stadium, referee Theresa Bremansu will be the central official when Wafa clashes with New Edubiase.

And at the Tema Sports Stadium, Inter Allies have their eyes on all three points when they lock horns with Bechem United.

Hasaacas’ encounter with Medeama has been rescheduled for Thursday due to the latter’s Caf Confederations Cup away game with Sudanese side El Ahly Shandi on Sunday.
