If there is one thing in matchday three, it is for both Medeama and Dwarfs to get their first win of the season against Kotoko and Hearts of Oak respectively.
Medeama who has gone two games without a win face league giants Asante Kotoko at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The match is expected to be full of thrills and aggression as the home side would also be eyeing for their first point of the season, having lost their first game against Wafa, before their match against Ashantigold was re-scheduled.
Kotoko have revenge on their mind, due to the FA Cup loss to Medeama, while the visitors want to avoid going three matches without a point.
Hearts of Oak will also visit struggling Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast as they seek to make it three straight wins, having won their first two premier league matches.
Though the season is young, the game at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium promises to sell out a good game due to the form of the Phobians while Dwarfs will be seeking their first point of the season following their opening day 0-1 loss to premier league debutants Dreams FC and 1-0 away defeat to New Edubiase United.
Sogakope will be the home of attraction when WAFA return home to play Sekondi Hasaacas. The academy boys got their season off to a flying start after beating Asante Kotoko 2-0 before going down 1-0 to Berekum Chelsea last Sunday.
The Sekondi lads lost 0-3 to All Stars at Wa in their first game before making amends with a 4-2 success over newcomers Techiman City at home last weekend. They will hope to maintain this form as the face a tricky task at Sogakope.
Elsewhere, Bechem host New Edubiase at te Bechem Park with both looking for their second wins of the campaign.
The home side won their first game 2-0 against Liberty Professionals before losing 0-1 to debutants Dreams FC last Sunday at the Dawu Park. New Edubiase United suffered a painful 0-1 defeat to Hearts of Oak in their opening fixture in Accra before recovering to beat Ebusua Dwarfs by the same margin last weekend.
At Tema, Inter Allies will be gearing for maximum points when they face league debutant Dreams in Tema. Dreams have been in tremendous form in this campaign and have already bagged six points in their first two games.
C.K. Akonnor’s side will be eyeing their third straight win this weekend but they will have to overcome the Tema based club, a side which after falling to a defeat in their first match against Liberty, recovered very well beating Aduana 2-0 last weekend.
Ashantigold after their painful exist from the Caf Champions league last week will be seeking to bounce back with a win against Berekum Chelsea at the Len Clay Stadium. The host are a very formidable side especially when they are playing home, which leaves the visitors a slim chance of getting maximum points.
The visitors have taken three points out of their first two matches, losing to debutant Techiman City in their opening game before defeating Wafa last weekend.
Liberty have a tough battle as they come against current league leaders Wa All Stars, a side which has won their first two matches in the premier league. Liberty Professionals have also recovered very well following their league opener defeat against Bechem United.
Techiman City will play their second home game against Aduana Stars at Techiman Park. The home side won the league opener against Berekum chelsea, but fell to defeat against Hasaacas last weekend.
