Wa All Stars’s reign at the top of the Ghana Premier League could come crushing on Monday following a defeat to Medeama in week 10 on Sunday.

Benjamin Bature’s 60th minute effort handed Enos Kwame Adipah’s side a 1-0 away defeat at the Tarkwa T&A Park.

Two points adrift  of All Stars on the standings, second-placed Hearts of Oak could cash in on the situation, as a win over Asante Kotoko in Monday’s Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium will move them a point ahead on the table.

Wafa’s poor away form continues after falling 2-0 to Bechem United at the Bechem Park, Aminu Mohammed and Francis Afriyie scoring for the home side.

At the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Stadium, Nuhu Fuseini opened the scoring for visitors Ashanti Gold, but Michael Insaidoo scored later to rescue a point for bottom-placed Dwarfs in a 1-1 stalemate.

Berekum Chelsea will have to wait until week 11 to search for a first away win of the season after falling 2-1 to New Edubiase at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium. Abdul Wahab Annan found the match winner after Seth Appiah had cancelled out a Prince Agyemang opener for the home side.

An unpardonable error on the part of Soulama Abdoulaye cost the Phobians on the day after he failed to handle Richard Akrofi’s harmless back pass.
