Gor Mahia have opened talks with Kenyan international defender David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng.
The player has been without a club since he declined to extend his stay in Saudi Arabia and has spent the last six months training with Gor Mahia. K’Ogalo Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala revealed to Goal that all is set to sign the player and only his agent is delaying a final move.
“We have been talking to him for a while now and he seems agreeable to come to Gor Mahia. However, it seems his agent is dragging down everything as he is yet to make a decision.”
Ngala also revealed that they have been forced to send two teams for friendlies this weekend. One team will play AFC Leopards in Gatundu on Saturday while the other is in Kisumu also for a series of matches.
“Both teams are a mixture of the youth team and main team and we expect they will give a good account of themselves.”
