Ivorian-import Robin Gnagne has been named Hearts of Oak player of the month of February.
The 22-year-old defender bested team-mates Isaac Mensah, Samudeen Ibrahim and Mustapha Essuman to win the accolade.
He was presented with a trophy by the club’s board chairman Togbe Afede XIV after Hearts’ exhilarating 3-1 win over Bechem United in Accra on Sunday.
Gnagne, who also captains the team, has been described as a key player in the club’s new and exciting adventure under coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
Hearts of Oak have conceded only one goal after four matches, winning three and drawing one.
The Ivorian was the Man of the Match when the Phobians defeated Medeama SC in Tarkwa for the first time in their history on match day two.
