Leicester City’s three-man Ghanaian contingent of Jeffrey Schlupp, Daniel Amartey and Joe Dodoo have been shortlisted for various prizes in the club’s annual End of Season Awards.
The trio make the cut for their contributions to the Foxes’ incredible lead on the Premier League standings with just four rounds of matches to end the season.
They have been named in a six-man shortlist for the Young Player of the Season honour, alongside Liam Moore, Demarai Gray and Ben Chilwell.
In addition, they have all been listed in a 25-man pack from which the Player of the Season will be selected, although Dodoo has made just one substitute league appearance for the side.
The 20-year-old forward was, however, instrumental in Leicester’s run to the last 16 of the League Cup, netting four times in three matches.
Schlupp, who was named Player of the Season as well as Young Player of the Season last year, is in line for a third award following his nomination in the Goal of the Season category.
His strike against Norwich in October will, nonetheless, face stiff competition from Jamie Vardy’s wonder volley against Liverpool, Riyad Mahrez curling effort against Chelsea, as well as eight others.
The Goal of the Season nominees will subsequently be narrowed down after online voting closes on April 25, but the Young Player of the Year prize will be purely based on votes.
The Player of the Season, on the other hand, will be determined by the squad.
The 2015-16 End of Season Awards comes off at King Power Stadium on May 10.
