Ghana midfielder Michael Helegbe scored a hat-trick to help his side Tripoli SC thumped Racing club Beirut 6-0 in the Lebanese top-flight league on Sunday.
The former Medeama midfielder has been in stupendous form since moving to Lebanon and his latest treble sent his side to third on table.
Helegbe opened the scoring for his side on 30 minutes, drilling a shot hard and low pass a helpless Beirut goalkeeper.
Walid Fatooh doubled the score line on the 65th minute mark before the former Ghana U23 captain scored his second on the day two minutes later.
Mostafa Hasan made it four in the 70th minute before Helegbe capped off a man of the match performance with his well taken third on the day on the 77th minute.
There was still time for another goal for Mostafa Hassan to bag a brace.
Helegbe’s three goals puts him on top of the goal king chart with 12 goals after nine games.
