Ghanaian player Christian Atsu scored on his Spanish La Liga debut for Malaga in the game against Getafe on Friday night.
The Black Stars winger who joined the club a couple of weeks ago could only make the bench for Malaga’s first game after his arrival as his Spanish team won by a goal against Eibar away from home.
Atsu however was given his first start against Gatefe and played the first half of the game before being replaced by Ricardo Horta for the second half.
Juanpi opened the scoring for home side Malaga in the game in less than ten minutes after kick off before Ghana international Christian Atsu scored in his first game for the club to make it 2-0.
Charles strengthened Malaga’s lead as the home team went into the first half interval leading by three goals without reply.
The two teams battled in the second half of the game with neither side finding the back of the net as Malaga took all three points with the 3-0 win.
Christian Atsu joined Malaga from English Premier League Champions Chelsea on loan in the January transfer window. The Ghanaian will stay with the Spanish side until the end of the season.
