Ghanaian quartet to handle Mali-Algeria AFCON qualifier

Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey will be the center-man in the AFCON qualifier match between Mali and Algeria on Wednesday.

The astute FIFA referee was appointed by the Confederation of African Football [CAF] to handle the crucial game at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako.

Lamptey will be assisted on the lines by compatriots Malik Salifu and David Laryea, whiles Cecil Fletcher serves as the fourth official, with Gambia’s Oumar Seo serving as the match commissioner.

This will be the third time the quartet will be handling an AFCON 2015 qualifier, having officiated in the games between Nigeria and Congo as well as Gabon vs Burkina Faso.
