Hearts of Oak grossed Ghc 61,000 as gate proceeds from their opening fixture of the 2015/16 Ghana premier league against New Edubiase last Sunday.
The game which the Phobians pipped the Bekwai based club saw close to 28,000 fans trooping in to watch the most hyped premier league game.Despite the massive attendance the two clubs displayed great piece of football but it was the Phobians who run away with the three maximum points at stake thanks to Samuel Yeboah’s 87 minute strike.
And the Public Relationship officer (PRO) of the club Kwame Opare Addo on Asempa FM, confirmed that the club grossed Ghc 61,000 in last Sunday’s game.
“After the game against New Edubiase we grossed 61,000, it was the first time of having that massive attendance after our last season’s game against Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko.
“We thank the supporters for showing that unflinching support and we hope it will continue in our subsequent home games,” Opare stressed.
Hearts of Oak next premier league game is against Medeama SC at the T&A Park in Tarwkwa.
