Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has replied his critics who have been consistent on his low prolificacy for Lorient in the French Ligue 1.
The 22-year-old has been struggling to find the back of the net since joining from Olympique Marseille in the summer.
He scored his third goal of the season in 13 appearances last Saturday as Lorient beat Toulouse 3-2 on the road.
But the son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele admits there has been a shortfall in his goal count but says he work ethic is superb for the team.
“Look at the stats and we speak. People can say everything, but it’s been a while since I’ve been involved in all the goals,” Ayew told L’Equipe.
“If I do not score, I make assists. I do not know how many passes I make, but I think I’m pretty doing well. I have to continue like this but I know I cannot do it alone.”
