Ghana secured a 20th Africa Cup of Nations qualification berth after beating Togo 3-1 in their final Group E qualifier on Wednesday in Tamale.
The win meant they amassed 11 points to stay at the summit of the pool and were joined by Guinea who beat Uganda 2-0 in Casablanca to tally ten points.
The Black Stars without key players Andre Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah due to injuries put up a good showcase to win their deciding clash in Tamale.
Ghana will be making a sixth consecutive appearance in the Nations finals since missing out on the 2004 tournament.
The four-time African champions have also reached the medal zone of the last four editions of the Nations.
Ghana last won the tournament in 1982 but were runners-up in 1992 and 2010 in Sengal and Angola respectively.
