Twenty-five local Black Stars players have been invited by coach Maxwell Konadu to start preparations ahead of their international friendly match against Japan U23 national team onMay 11.
The players are expected to report for camping at Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram on April 25.
Konadu handed call-up to six Wa All Stars players including goalkeeper Richard Ofori and star striker Richard Arthur while Inter Allies youngster Evans Mensah, who recently earned a late call-up to replace David Accam in the senior national team ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique, maintained his place alongside club deputy captain Gockel Ahortor.
However, conspicuously missing in the squad is Techiman City new sensation Baba ‘John’ Mahama, who has claimed three Man of the Match awards after seven games in the local league, and Eric Kwabena Bekoe, who has scored five goals for Sekondi Hasaacas.
Ghana coach Avram Grant is expected to return from his European tour before the team leave for Japan.
