Ghana Football Association is yet to land a new headline sponsor a month away from the commencement of the premier league new season.
However, local media reports suggest the football body is in talks with a Ukrainian beer company known as Obolon and could announce a deal soon.
First Capital Plus Bank abruptly ended their collaboration with the GFA, citing restructuring of the company’s activities as a major reason.
The new season kicks off on December 20, according the GFA, which has refused to reveal what action it intends to take against First Capital Plus Bank for breaching the sponsorship contract.
The GFA and First Capital Plus Bank had signed a five-year deal worth $2 million a year, but the bank pulled out after 18 months of collaboration.
Obolon Joint Stock Company is a leading producer of alcoholic beverages based in Ukraine capital Kiev.
